ICT Cabinet Secretary, His Excellency William Kabogo, has emphasized Kenya’s commitment to deepening collaboration, strengthening cross-programming, and leveraging media partnerships to position the country as a premier destination for investment, tourism, and cultural exchange.
CS Kabogo met a delegation from the China Media Group (CMG), led by Rehema Hu, Director for Strategic Relations and Business Operations, Africa. The discussions focused on the progress of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the Governments of Kenya and China, which has seen the national broadcaster KBC benefit from enhanced programming and content.
Also present were Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Temesi Mukani, KBC Managing Director Agnes Kalekye, CMG Africa’s Government Relationship Specialist Emmanuel Juma, and Vivian Ma from CMG.

CS Kabogo noted that such partnerships are pivotal for boosting Kenya’s media landscape, promoting cultural exchange, and attracting investment, while also enhancing the quality and reach of national broadcasting.

The meeting underscores Kenya’s strategic focus on international media collaborations as a tool for development and global engagement.
